The retrospective of Ivan Kožarić on the occasion of the 100^th anniversary of his birth, therefore appropriately named “One of 100 Possible Ones,” was held at MSU in collaboration with CASA Gliptoteque. One of the possible presentations of such a vast and versatile oeuvre of our favourite sculptural bard was visited by many, some even on more than one occasion. Hence, so as to make the publication available to the wider public, we are publishing it as an e-catalogue. 

The summarised texts follow by decades the transformative procedures in Kožarić’s artistic activity. Alongside the reproductions of works, of projects that were implemented and those that remained in sketch form, there are many photographs of the exhibition setup authored by Boris Cvjetanović. The journey through this exceptionally dynamic and nearly seven decades-long oeuvre begins from the earliest student days in the 1940s, and ends with the most recent works produced in this millennium. The artist himself made clear with unexpected gestures that he considered his work open and never complete, since creative energy ought not be “petrified,” but rather let to further change both the artwork and the world. The ultimate chapter of the catalogue is dedicated to the connections between Academician Ivan Kožarić and CASA Gliptoteque, the institution in whose history he was also inscribed as its Head.
