As part of the BEAM UP project (Blind Engagement in Accessible MUseum Projects), a local expert group has been formed with the purpose of designing an exhibition of contemporary art accessible to people with visual disabilities, consisting of: Andrej Hatar, Valentina Nemet, and Vinko Zrinščak as external associates and MSU curators Ana Škegro, Daniela Bilopavlović Bedenik, and Renata Filčić. By involving representatives of the target group of the project from the very beginning, i.e. from the research and conceptual phase in the organization of the project and exhibition, we want to create an opportunity for better adaptation and presentation of museum content that will be accessible to all. A little reminder that in Europe in 2019 there were over 30 million blind and partially sighted people. The project runs from October 1, 2020 to March 31, 2023 and is funded by the EU program Creative Europe.
