We invite you to take part in a reading and discussion circle organized by the Free Palestine Initiative aimed at fostering collective learning about Palestine, deoccupation and decolonization practices, and the cultures of resistance.
We come together as individuals keen on learning together and collective knowledge production that expands the epistemic horizons of justice challenging the politics of colonialism, occupation, nationalism and apartheid. We seek to bridge the gap between each other and critical literature on freedom struggles, anti-imperialist, anti-colonialist and decolonial ideas and concepts from other languages. We seek to create a collective practice of critical reading and analysis, as well as to build counternarratives to the erasure of people, spaces, knowledge and times. The first two encounters will center the theme of settler colonialism as a vital concept for grasping the founding and continued existence of the State of Israel on the Palestinian land.
If you are interested in joining us, please fill out the form on this link https://shorturl.at/lwW28 by March 1st.
Reading encounters will occur on every first Wednesday in a month at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Venue Baunet, from 5.00 to 7.00 pm.
The assigned readings for the first two encounters can be found here: https://shorturl.at/ovGVY.
