Join in this year’s last city tours Art in Public Space by MSU Zagreb available in Croatian and English and visit Sanja Iveković’s exhibition Works of Heart 

In November, curator and art historian Ivana Meštrov leads a thematic art tour Art in Public Space dedicated to public sculptures and interventions by contemporary artists in the centre of Zagreb. Those are the last city tours for this year, available in English as well as in Croatian on these dates:

Guided by the questions of how to bring art closer to the audience, how to break away from institutions, and how to provoke change, artists of the 1960s and 1970s organised a series of actions, performances, and interventions in the public space of Zagreb. The Art in Public Space tour guides us through public sculpture and contemporary artistic interventions in the very centre of Zagreb and tells the story of the formative period of contemporary art and new, conceptual art practices and outlines the continuity with contemporary art practices today.

The ninety-minute walking tour from Kožarić's Ground Sun in Bogovićeva St. to Mesnička St. was designed by art historian Ivana Meštrov and includes works by artists Ivan Kožarić, Tomislav Gotovac, Boris Demur, Željko Jerman, Vlado Martek, Mladen Stilinović, Sven Stilinović, Fedor Vučemilović, Braco Dimitrijević, and others.

The estimated duration of the tour is 90 minutes.

The ticket for the Art in Public Space also includes a visit to the Sanja Iveković 

Works of Heart (1970-2023) exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art. The exhibition is the first major museum survey of one of the most important Croatian artists, Sanja Iveković, in her native city.  With this ticket, it is possible to join Works of Heart guided tours with the following schedule:
