Scenes from The Morgue by the American photographer Andres Serranoare related to reality, but they are far from photo-journalism or police or medical photography. More than by the content of the photograph Hacked to Death 2 – a face covered with traces of blood – the impression of tension, even repulsion, is enhanced by the over-dimensioned foreground, actually by the artist’s skilled use of the language of photography.
