The passer-by whom the artist accidentally met and photographed, noting the exact time of their encounter, is a topic that Braco Dimitrijević consequentially followed in a series of works from the seventies in the streets of European cities (Zagreb, Paris, London, Venice, Berlin . . . ). These portraits, forerunners of contemporary billboards, posted on street façades, means of public transportation, or advertising spots, have become Braco Dimitrijević’s trademark.
